The Goal

Crude sunflower oil contains impurities such as phosphatides (gums), free fatty acids, color pigments, waxes, and odoriferous compounds. These negatively impact the taste, shelf-life, and appearance of the final product.

Our state-of-the-art refining technology meticulously removes these impurities while preserving the beneficial nutrients and natural antioxidants (like Vitamin E) present in the oil.

The 5-Stage Refining Process

A precision-engineered pathway to convert crude sunflower extract into premium commercial edible oil.

Degumming

Water or acid is added to hydrate the phosphatides (gums), making them insoluble in the oil for easy centrifugal separation.

Uses specialized high-speed centrifuges to ensure maximum gum removal, protecting downstream equipment from fouling.

Neutralization

Free Fatty Acids (FFA) are removed by reacting the oil with a precise amount of alkali through centrifugal seperator, forming a soapstock that is separated out.

Automated dosing systems ensure exact alkali addition, minimizing saponification of neutral oil and maximizing your overall yield.

Bleaching

Oil is treated with activated bleaching earth under vacuum to absorb color pigments (chlorophyll, carotenoids) and trace metals.

Closed-loop, continuous vacuum bleaching drastically reduces the oxidation of oil and ensures a highly uniform, brilliant golden color.

Dewaxing (Winterization)

Crucial for sunflower oil. The oil is slowly chilled to crystallize high-melting-point waxes, which are then filtered out.

Our advanced crystallization crystallizers provide optimal cooling curves. This ensures the oil remains completely clear even when stored at low temperatures (refrigeration).

Deodorization

High-temperature, high-vacuum steam distillation strips away odoriferous compounds, free fatty acids, and volatile impurities.

Features a structured packing deodorizer that minimizes steam consumption and prevents trans-fatty acid formation, preserving the oil's nutritional integrity.
